FAQ's and Helpful Information

Below are some frequently asked questions that are helpful when planning your stay with us.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 15.00 to 19.00. Check-out is by 10.00. Both are a self-check-in/out system so you will access keys for your pod via the keypads located at the tunnel underpass as you access the site. The key pad code for your pod will be emailed to you within your check-in email.

Can I bring my pet?

We do not accept pets within the accommodation, except for service dogs.

Are there instructions for the pod?

There is a dedicated Pod User Guide within each pod where you will find information on all the features of the pod from how to fold down the bed, lighting, heating etc.

Is there WiFi?

Our Glenarm Castle pod and Thornfield Farm site has WiFi. The codes will be emailed to you prior to your stay.

How do I check-out?

You will be sent an email regarding check-out procedures the day before you leave. We operate a self-check out procedure and check out is before 10.00am on the day that your booking ends. Before you leave, we request that you-

– Turn off all lights
– Lock the door
– Return the keys to the lock box
– Recycling bins are provided on site.

Please clear all bins in your pod before departure. Food waste bags are provided in your pod, please use and dispose of in the brown bin on site.

What is your policy on Fires and BBQs?

Our Policy

No cooking or fires are permitted on the area directly outside the pod. Guests are not permitted to bring any large-scale BBQ grills but they can bring a disposable BBQ. We ask that if guests bring their own disposal BBQ that they place them on the designated BBQ area. There is a log table area set up beside the campfire with a steel plate that the BBQ’s must be set on. Guests can also bring their own wood for the campfire but they must use the campfire provided.

Our PolicyaI have ordered an add-on pack, where do I get it?

We have a number of add-on packages that guests may have ordered before their arrival. Items requiring refrigeration will be found in the pod mini fridge. Non-perishable food items can be found on the pod coffee table. Camp fire items can be found in the lockable tin chest to the side of the pod (the key is on your pod key ring).

What add-on’s can I order?

Each of our sites offer a range of add ons from campfire experience, Breakfast,  BBQ’s packs and more. Please refer to each individual pod site listing for more information.  You will also be sent a list of optional extras 7 days before your stay.

Can I order an add-on after I arrive?

If you order before 11am our house keeping team can drop these up to your pod during housekeeping hours. Your hosts contact details and number will be provided in your check-in email.

The Pod

Is there a privacy solution for the glazed window?

Yes we have a privacy solution that allows you to enjoy privacy at night with a special film on  the glass. If you follow the instructions in the pod user guide then people cannot see into the pod, but you can see out of the pod.

Is there electricity/lighting in the pod?

There are a number of light switches within the pod including the Bunkroom and shower room. The living space lighting switches are on the right hand side as you walk into the pod, and the internal central down lights can be switched ON/OFF at the bedside.  The pod is full electricity with multiple sockets and USB sockets for your convenience.

How do I access the double Bed?

The bed is hidden behind the wall like a murphy style bed. Instructions on how to access the bed is in the pod user guide in each pod. It is very simple and straight forward. The bed is fully made up also.

Is there Storage?

Yes there is a sofa seat box which lifts up under the sofa which would fit hand luggage/hold bag. Under the bunk beds would also fit hand luggage and hold bag. The wardrobe allows for full length hanging and drawer space.

Is there heating?

Within the pod there is a heated towel rail which can be adjusted by using the thermostat. In the bunkroom, there is a fan heater.

Are there electrical sockets?

Yes there are a number of electrical sockets throughout the pod. There is also a USB point which is located beside the sofa bed.

Can I cook?

In your pod there is facilities to make tea/coffee, a mini fridge plus plates, cups and utensils. So feel free to bring additional food items (or wine!). There is also a dedicated fire pit outside the pod so you can place a disposable BBQ there. There are no microwave or oven facilities.

Keys and locking the door

We ask all guests to please look after the key to your pod during your stay.  To lock the door please pull the handle up as far as possible, then turn the key to lock.

What happens if damage or a breakage occurs?

Pods are inspected after each pod stay.  As per our T&C’s if damage has occurred then you will be contacted. If something breaks during your stay please contact our housekeeping team.

Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?

No, all linens are provided.

What is included in the shower room?

All toiletries and towels are included in your stay.  As is standard practice, we ask guests to only exchange towels when necessary.

How large is the shower?

The shower is full size.  We ask guests to limit the length of showers taking into account good environment practices.

What happens if the lights go out/won’t turn on?

If the lights go out please check the fuse board. This is located above the glasses and cups within the kitchenette area. If a switch is positioned down just pull it up.

Does the pod have hot water?

The sink is installed with a hot/cold water tap. The hot water is on a timer set at override which ensures a continuous supply of hot water.

Is there anywhere to wash dishes?

We have provided an additional basin and washing up items during your stay, so that you can use the bathroom sink to clean up dishes/utensils that are used.
