Your Host

Hillhead Farm is owned and hosted by Jennifer and Michael Dobson…an artist and stone mason by trade! They also run Hillhead Farm so don’t be surprised to see cows, sheep, and very friendly pigs roaming around while glamping in Dumfries and Galloway.
FURTHER SPACE LOGO Landscape Black 1
Hillhead Farm is a working farm and they are open all year round, just like their animals require care all year round. The summer is beautiful, but equally the winter brings a snowy valley and crisp fresh air. The glamping pods are perched up on the hillside just as you enter up the winding road to the farm entrance. The view is stunning and you will be surrounded by historical landscape.

Hosts Jennifer and Michael have been farming at Hillhead since 2016. They have been farming together since 2009 and are keen breeders of pedigree shorthorn cattle and pedigree north country cheviot sheep. Together with their two sons Harry and Eric they are creating a sustainable family business and are excited to welcome Further.Space pods to their hillside in south west Scotland.

A central location in the Dumfries and Galloway district – the historic town of Dumfries, the Queen of the South, is the largest town in South West Scotland, and is the county town of Dumfries & Galloway, a Royal Burgh since 1186 and it is believed to have flourished as a market town and port since Roman times. Amongst its many visitors in past times were Bonnie Prince Charlie, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce!
