FACILITIES & BOOKING
Our unique and stylish Leitrim Lodge pods offer a perfect short getaway for couples and families set in the heart of Ireland’s most famous Mountain range. You are in an exclusive group of 6 luxury pods at the foot of the picturesque Rocky Mountain. The Mourne Mountain Region is designated as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and parts are owned by the National Trust.
Just a short drive from County Down’s top attractions such as: Slieve Donard, Slieve Binnian, Silent Valley Reservoir, Murlough beach and National Nature Reserve, Tullymore Forest Park, Spelga Dam, Kilbroney Forest Park and lots more!
You are also within walking distance of a little-known Game of Thrones film location on the old Batts Estate, picturesque forest trails and mountain paths.
In driving distance from Hilltown, Newcastle and Castlewellan where you will be spoilt for choice with a diverse range of restaurants, pubs and entertainment events.
Just 1hr 30mins from Dublin and 45 mins from Belfast, Leitrim Lodge is a central location for a relaxing short break away. The set-up of the pod is for 2 adults and 2 kids (or under approx 5ft5) with a comfy double bed and hotel-quality bed-linen included, plus integrated bunkbeds tucked away.
Check out this quick youtube video of the site if you have not seen it already.
We are open all year round, but please note that there is a minimum 2 night stay during July and August. Limited availability 1 night stays for July and August will be released in June.
Please note that online bookings must be made 24 hours before the stay date. For same day booking please contact us via email on leitrimlodge@furtherspace.co.uk
Each of our Leitrim Lodge Pods has the mountain view with the same interior, and include everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay.
You also have a dedicated fire pit at your pod with log seating. There is fencing up at the edge of the site, but we are asking guests to please take care with themselves and little children.
We operate a self check-in and check out system for your ease and convenience. The site host is available should you require assistance and contact details are provided with your check-in email.
Please note that the accommodation and package add-on’s are all paid for in advance via the website due to the self-check in procedures.
You will be provided with a key pad code to access the key for the pod and the doors are all lockable for your safety and security.

Electric and power points are available in the pod including USB points. Running water is available in the shower room area, plus a full height shower. There is a towel radiator in the shower room, and within the pod there is a fully integrated fan heater, which you can adjust via the manual thermostat found in the wardrobe area.
There is a tea/coffee making area, mini fridge, plus cutlery set if you wish to bring along continental style breakfast/snacks etc. So feel free to bring additional food items (or wine!). There is also a dedicated fire pit outside the pod so you can place a disposable BBQ there.
The Main Window
We have a fully glazed front at the pod, with no curtains for unobscured views and to experience the sunrise in the morning. For those that want a lie-in we provide eye masks and there is a pod user-guide to show you how to use the privacy feature at night.
Bed linens, towels, and toiletries are provided, but feel free to bring extra. We have also provided an additional basin and washing up items so that you can use the bathroom sink to clean up dishes/utensils that are used. We thank you in advance for doing this for us!
There is a set down area beside the pods for unloading the car and free car parking.
Unfortunately the site is not suitable for pets, but it is something we are looking to in the future.
