Here are some nearby attractions that we recommend visiting during your stay at Belmullet Glamping:

Dun na mBó – 3km (4 minute drive)

Dún na mBó (Doonamo) is a unique cliff-top place from which one can view the incredible Eagle Island Lighthouse and out into the Atlantic. Situated on top of rough cliffs, Dún na mBó allows visitors to take in the rush of the sea and experience the waves through a sculpture built around a natural blowhole

Belmullet Golf Club – 7km (8 minutes)

Belmullet Golf Club for many years has gained a deserved reputation for being a very friendly place to play and visit and the members and staff are to be congratulated on maintaining this reputation, continuing to greet all our visitors with a typical “West of Ireland” welcome.

Blacksod Bay – 26km (25 minutes)

The Mullet Peninsula is home to some of the best beaches in Mayo. One that is well worth visiting is the beach at Blacksod Bay along with a lighthouse complex marking the bay’s entrance.

Inishkea Islands

Just off the Mullet Peninsula coastline, the two Inishkea Islands (north and South) may have been named after Saint Kea who once lived there. Inishkea means Goose Island, and the islands are home to many Barnacled Geese. In summer, you can take boat trips to the islands with Belmullet Boat Tours.

The Erris Head Loop Walk – 8km (11 minute drive)

The best way to explore the Erris headland is on the 5.1km Erris Head Loop. It’s a relatively quiet loop trail near Belmullet. The trail provides you with the chance to see flora, sea birds and wildlife. Sea views extend to the watchtower and EIRE 64 marker.

Elly Bay  – 9km (11 minute drive)

Elly Bay runs along the Atlantic (east) side of the narrow peninsula for over a kilometre with views across to the Inishkea Islands.

Carrowteige Loop Walks – 37km (36 minute drive)

The remote Carrowteige Loop Walks are considered by hikers to be among the most spectacular in Ireland (especially the Benwee Head Loop). The trails runs along the clifftop overlooking beautiful Broadhaven Bay and end near the impressive Stags of Broadhaven.

Wavesweeper Sea Aventures – 2km (3 minute drive)

Wavesweeper Sea Adventures is a family run soft adventure company based in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. They offer activities such as Surfing, Kayaking, Stand-up Paddle Boarding and many more on and off the water.

Belmullet Tidal Pool – 6km (9 minute drive)

Fancy a sunset/sunrise swim? Belmullet’s open air tidal pool allows you to swim at any time irrespective of tides. Just a short stroll from town centre along a fabulous promenade with expansive sea views towards Achill.
